The radiator support frame is deformed; the front bumper has been replaced; the right front fender, right front door, and right rear fender have been repaired; the left side of the front fender has also been repaired; the rear bulkhead is deformed; the carpet has discolored after being submerged in water; and the engine light is on.
We will use a megohmmeter (insulation resistance tester) to measure the insulation resistance of the high-voltage bus. If the resistance value is below the national safety standard, it indicates a risk of leakage, and the vehicle will be deemed unqualified.
We use a calibrated high-precision paint thickness gauge to take multiple measurements on at least 13 metal surfaces of the entire vehicle. The original paint thickness of mainstream Chinese models typically ranges from 90μm to 150μm. If any area exceeds 200μm or even reaches over 500μm, we will directly conclude that the area has undergone bodywork and filler repair.
During the stationary steering test, the technician will check the smoothness of the steering wheel from full left to full right, looking for any unusual noises from the steering gear; they will also inspect the hydraulic power steering pump (if present) and the seals of the steering column for any hydraulic fluid leakage.
